- Carton erectors are used in automated or semi-automated carton/case packaging processes.
- Its main function is to erect (unfold) the cardboard box and seal the bottom flaps so that it is ready for packing. There are semi-automatic and fully automatic carton erectors.
- Using a semi-automatic case erector requires an operator to position the box manually and remove it from the machine after the process is done.
- Using a fully automatic case erector is however a different story. The fully-auto machine does not require manual operation.
- It feeds the cardboard box to the erector from a magazine and positions the box automatically, which grants higher efficiency to the packing process.
